Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for an exciting, long term project at our Client. You will be working in a team of highly experienced professionals in a state-of-the-art environment.

Work location: Den Haag, The Netherlands.
Starting ASAP. 40 hours per week.
Excellent daily rate.

Job Description

The organisation has reached a point where projects are transitioning from waterfall to agile, so experience of both is required. It is also important to recognise that there is a need to be flexible during this period of transition. The ideal candidate will contribute to this transition.

The successful candidate will initially be assigned to support the final stages of a work package. This will provide them with the opportunity to quickly gain an understanding of complex business processes in preparation for a new work package. Knowledge of user role authorisation will be of value in the current project.

The focus of the Senior Business Analyst will be to support Product Owners in articulating requirements. Skills in stakeholder engagement and communication are essential. An understanding of patent processes is a significant advantage, but it is recognised that the right candidate will have the skills needed to acquire that knowledge quickly. Experience of Case Management systems would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading Business Analysis activities in an agile project
  • Working closely with Product Owners to help them to articulate requirements in standard products (including User Stories and Acceptance Criteria)
  • Ensuring that products meet the needs of project colleagues through close collaboration
  • Ensuring that business requirements are feasible, and that they comply with the wider technology strategy
  • Support of peers and more junior staff through mentoring and peer review of products
  • Contribution to continuous improvements in standards

Key skills and experience

  • Leading Business Analysis activities in an agile project
  • Supporting Product Owners in articulating requirements
  • Experience of working in a large programme with complex processes and inter-dependencies
  • Experience of working in projects where stakeholders are based in multiple locations
  • Experience of working with stakeholders from a range of backgrounds and cultures
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders who have in-depth knowledge of their business processes
  • Experience of managed requirements such that there is traceability and change control, ideally using a requirements management tool. Experience of JIRA is a significant advantage.
  • Process modelling (preferably BPMN 2, captured in Visio or similar software)
  • Familiarity with architecture models such as TOGAF would be an advantage, and is of particular interest for one of our projects
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of Case Management projects

Candidates will need to provide evidence of in-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and examples of complex stakeholder engagement within a large programme.
